Fiancee Visa Applicant Prior CCP Membership? No Problem!
By Eric P. Chapman, Esq. December 30, 2010
December 30, 2010 - As a teacher in China, a former client was required to maintain membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Following a showing that the membership was not meaningful, the former client received her K1 fiancee visa to enter the United States. While in the United States, the former client is required to adjust her status to a legal permanent resident. Part of the adjustment process, requires the adjusting K1 fiancee to answer questions relating to any involvement with a communist or totalitarian party.
