Karen Williams

Associate Attorney

Karen Williams is a senior associate attorney at Livesay & Myers, P.C., practicing exclusively immigration law.

Ms. Williams has years of experience with both family-based and employment-based immigration law, as well as deportation defense. She has assisted a large number of individuals in securing green cards and citizenship to the United States. Ms. Williams has also handled a large number of cases in immigration court, where she has successfully advocated for relief from removal based on: adjustment of status, asylum, cancellation of removal, relief for victims of domestic violence under VAWA, U-visas for victims of crimes, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for unaccompanied minors. Ms. Williams has also represented foreign nationals in seeking stays of removal and the exercise of prosecutorial discretion before U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Ms. Williams also has experience in employment-based immigration matters, including PERM labor certifications, I-140 immigrant petitions and adjustment applications for foreign nationals, and nonimmigrant visa applications (including H1-B, TN and L-1 visas). She is experienced with drafting letters in support of EB-1 and EB-2 petitions and National Interest Waiver applications, as well as responding to Requests for Evidence from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Finally, Ms. Williams has advised numerous employers and human resource departments on immigration agency regulations, document requirements and submission deadlines.

Ms. Williams works out of the firm’s offices in Northern Virginia, and handles cases nationwide.
