Schools to Check Parents’ Citizenship
Posted on Apr 8, 2010 4:45pm PDT
In Arizona, it has been voted by state senators that schools must ask parents whether their children are in this country legally. The state senators believe that taxpayers are entitled to know how many children are being educated who have no legal rights to be here. The bill will not preclude a student from being enrolled if a parent could not or would not provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
