Deportation Pardoned by Governor

A Dominican who was facing deportation has reportedly been pardoned by the New York governor. According to reports, Mario Benitez was pardoned by Governor David Paterson for his good conduct since his 1988 conviction for selling drugs. He previously spent three years in jail.
