Man Sentenced for Falsely Claiming U.S. Citizenship

A man in the Anchorage, Alaska area has reportedly been sentenced in regard to a case where he falsely claimed to be a U.S. citizen. According to reports, the man was sentenced to time served and one year of supervised release. He reportedly stole the identity of his deceased nephew in the matter where he pleaded guilty. The man originally arrived in the U.S. on a six-month visitor
visa in 2008. He then remained in the U.S. illegally.
