A man in the Wisconsin area is reportedly seeking asylum to stay in the U.S., but he is currently facing deportation. According to reports, the Nigerian man is trying to persuade immigration officials to release him as his attorney and American wife contend his arrest was unnecessary. He was allegedly picked up while working as a nursing assistant at a nursing home. However, he has been seeking
asylum since 2005 as he was an Ogoni protester in Nigeria and fears returning.
