Twins in the Illinois area are reportedly being denied U.S. citizenship status as they were conceived in Israel through in-vitro fertilization. According to reports, the U.S. policy states that children born through in-vitro in foreign countries must prove that the egg and sperm donors are U.S. citizens. Now, in order for them to gain citizenship status, the children will have to live in the U.S. for six months. Their mother will then be able to apply for them.
