A Kansas official is reportedly seeking a change in state law that would require some potential voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship beginning in June. According to reports, the man is making the proposal to ensure that the rules would apply to this year's presidential elections. While there is a proof of citizenship requirement for first time voters in the state, this isn't in effect until 2013.
