Teacher Facing Possible Deportation

A teacher in the Sacramento, California area is reportedly facing a possible deportation. According to reports, she lost her teaching job and chance at being a U.S. citizen when the school district where she worked failed to send a letter to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services acknowledging she worked for them. She leaned this too late which caused her work visa to expire in September 2012. Now, she may have to return to Paraguay to apply for a new visa, however, if she leaves, she won't be able to return to the U.S. for ten years because she overstayed her visa more than 12 months.
